Find out the meaning of scary symbols of the Halloween festival

Halloween is always associated with very scary symbols such as black cats, bats, witches, pumpkin lanterns with human faces... On the occasion of the upcoming Halloween, I would like to reveal to you the meaning of Halloween symbols. for your reference.

1. Pumpkin Lantern

The Jack O' lantern or pumpkin is the most famous symbol of Halloween. According to Irish legend, the Jack O' lantern was named after the death of a stingy man named Jack who was barred from both heaven and hell. Because, he has deceived the devil many times. This person was sentenced to roam the Earth, holding his lantern to guide people on the right path.

2. Bats

Why are bats so closely associated with Halloween? Because like the Dracula, some bats live on the blood of animals. Vampire bats even attack humans, using their sharp teeth to bite victims while they are sleeping. They remind people of vampires, a characteristic creature of the ghost festival.

3. Orange and Black

Orange and black are the two main colors in Halloween. Orange is a symbol of strength, endurance, harvest and autumn. Black is a symbol of death and darkness. Halloween reminds everyone that this is a festival that marks the thin line between life and death.

4. Witches

Witches are said to have supernatural powers, often dressed in black, with pointed, beaked noses and riding brooms. On Halloween night, many people "transform" into witches. Witches are said to have supernatural powers, have ties to the devil, represent the forces of darkness, and have their most powerful abilities on Halloween. However, like many other mysterious creatures, they are plagued by evil. The Catholic church is evil and has been hunting throughout medieval Europe and the Americas since the 17th century.

5. Ghosts

Ghosts roam everywhere, scaring and haunting people. During Halloween, many people dress up as ghosts. One of the simplest ways to transform into a ghost is to take a bed sheet and gouge out two eyes. However, it will be much more difficult if you want to become a real ghost. First of all, a person must die, under the most pitiful circumstances possible. After that, their spirits have to roam around to haunt houses or look for loved ones.

6. Zombies

Zombies, or the Walking Dead, are the protagonists of the horror film industry and the embodiment of the zombie culture that originated in Haiti. Accordingly, the Haitian people believe that people can fall into a state of mindlessness, like the corpses in movies (except for the hobby of cannibalism). Even a botanist in Haiti has found a poison, which can actually cause this zombie state.

7. Black Cat

Black cats have been considered "symbols" of bad luck since the Middle Ages and are often decorated on Halloween. In the Middle Ages, elderly people, lone women were often accused of witchcraft, and their black cats were often seen as demonic, or born of the devil. A medieval myth says that Satan turned himself into a cat and joined the sorcerer's guild. But today in many places such as Ireland, Scotland and England, black cats are considered a symbol of good luck when someone on the road meets this cat.

8. Owl

Owls are a popular image in Halloween. In the Middle Ages in Europe, owls were believed to be witches. Anyone who hears an owl's cry is an omen of imminent death.
